Platform One Rock School showcase at Strings Bar & Venue
Rock 'n' roll is alive and well on the Island! 🎸🔥
I had an absolute blast shooting the Platform One Rock School showcase at Strings Bar & Venue last night. The energy in the room was electric—from the first soundcheck to the final encore, these students proved they aren’t just "the future" of music, they’re the now.
Nothing beats the atmosphere at Strings when the amps are cranked and the talent is this raw. Huge shoutout to all the performers who left it all on the stage! 🤘✨
Highlights from the night:
Unbelievable vocals that shook the rafters.
Guitar solos that would make the greats proud.
That unmistakable Strings Bar vibe.
More Than Just a Show
From First Riffs to Final Anthems
The energy last night was relentless, kicking off with Indecisive, who set an impossibly high bar with their razor-sharp confidence. They were followed by Halfway, who brought a balanced, melodic vibe that kept the momentum swinging, and Izzy, whose stage presence was magnetic and deeply personal. Things got beautifully chaotic with Slightly Unhinged, living up to their name with a raw, high-octane set, while the Warped Wizards cast a spell over the crowd with their unique, genre-bending sound.
The creativity didn’t stop there—the Hamburglars stole the show with their playful energy, leading perfectly into Who’s The Fool, featuring the truly amazing Tabby on vocals. Her powerhouse performance was a definite highlight of the night. As we moved into the heavy hitters, Desperate Measures and Feedback delivered back-to-back masterclasses in rock intensity, shaking the walls of Strings. Finally, Midnight Anthems closed the curtains with a headline-worthy finish, leaving the crowd exhausted but screaming for more.
A Huge Thank You
None of this would have been possible without the incredible Platform One team. A massive shoutout to Ellis, Joe, Toby, and Ruby—the dedicated staff who ran the night with total professionalism. Thank you for keeping the gear running, the transitions smooth, and for supporting the next generation of Island talent!
